Our hives are placed in the best locations for sun on our land and moved to more shelters spots if this is required through winter, I can get a map for this if required
We live on our property and purchased land here because we appreciate and want to preserve the natural environment.
The land Boundaries’ the National Park and while we have been told the land had been used historically for Diary farming and grazing of stock. It is hilly bush country not easy to fence, but great for the bees.

We are interested in protecting the native trees in the area which sits well with the Manuka honey and beekeeping business we have developed over the past 14 years. More recently the surrounding area has gained popularity as a preserved natural environment.
There are many Rākau(tree) species that coexist with us, we have planted a lot, but these also naturally propagate here. Currently growing on our properties Species include: Kanuka. Manuka, Kowhai, Totara, Ti Kouka (cabbage tree), Kahikatea, Kawa kawa, Rimu, Pūriri, Puahou, Harakeke, Kamahi, Rata, Rewa rewa, Punga and many other ferns.
